How to audit your team’s week without micromanaging them

Instead of asking, “What did you get done today?” try filtering their workflow through a human-centric lens.

Here is a 4-part checklist you can bring into your next 1-on-1 or team alignment meeting:

📋 The Modern TASK Check:

  1. Priorities (The “What”): Are they clear on their top 3 high-impact focuses, or are boundaries blurring under a mountain of urgent, low-value tasks?
  2. Purpose (The “Why”): Can they connect their daily routine to a larger vision? Eliminate empty checkboxes; ground their execution in meaning.
  3. Capacity (The “How”): Assess their holistic bandwidth. Do they have the mental and resource whitespace required for excellence, or are they running on empty?
  4. Curiosity (The “Next”): Are they encouraged to question current processes? Build a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.

By managing the human element behind the workflow, you don’t just increase productivity—you build long-term retention and resilience.

Save this framework for your next team review.
